Yes, some teams are already planning for next year. It’s that time of year for those teams that don’t make it to a bowl game.

And Chip Kelly makes its 30.

That’s 30 FBS head coaching jobs that have turned over for the 2013 season. Kelly resigned from Oregon today to take the head coaching job at Oregon. The rumor is that Mark Helfrich, his offensive coordinator, will be the head coach. That may be the case on an interim basis, but Oregon is advertising for the position. Yes, because they’re a public institution, they have to advertise for a head football coach. Funny.

Nearly 25 percent of the head coaching jobs in FBS will have different head coaches in 2013. Mind-boggling.
