College Football America FCS Top 30 Preseason Countdown: No. 3 Georgia Southern Eagles

Georgia Southern Eagles

College Football America, the signature publication of RoadTripSports, is proud to unveil its NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Top 30 Preseason football rankings for 2013. The Georgia Southern Eagles are No. 3. From the pages of College Football America:

“Like Appalachian State, Georgia Southern is preparing to transition to FBS and won’t have a playoff berth to play for in 2013. That’s a shame as the Eagles are coming off a trip to the FCS semifinals. The Eagles can count on running back Dominique Swope, who is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons. Offensive lineman Garrett Frye is also back after earning Third-Team All-America honors. The great news is that Swope and Frye have at least two years left, which means they’ll be there for the Eagles in 2014.”

So where does Georgia Southern fit into the FCS? You can find out in the College Football America 2013 Yearbook Encyclopedia, now on sale at 919 teams. 454 pages.
