Everyone should feel much better about the linebacker position. There are a number of reasons for this. Securing Rolando McClain’s services for another year helps. So does the return to health of Sean Lee, who will move to the outside this year as McClain takes the middle. Last year’s fourth-round pick Anthony Hitchens, gives the group a competent starter on the other opposite side. That makes the depth look much better. Keith Rivers can be productive in this defense and can play multiple positions. So can Andrew Gachkar. The unit has to stay healthy, though.
