So far in the scouting process: You may wonder why teams are scheduling visits with a player that didn’t even go to the NFL Scouting Combine, but in the past few weeks he’s made a push, thanks to an impressive pro day at Texas State University. During that pro day Walker ran a 40 time in the 4.5 range, posted a 36 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-7 broad jump. Combine that with his impressive height — it’s hard to find a 6-foot-3 corner — and you can see why the Cowboys have scheduled a visit. He’s far from a finished product but there is raw material to work with here.
