The bottom line? To me, if the Cowboys are looking at a running back in the second round it’s between Coleman and Boise State’s Jay Ayayi. The good news is both backs field the mold of what the Cowboys need in the backfield. The benefit of a guy like Coleman is that he has more top-end speed when healthy than Ajayi, which makes him a bit more of a home run guy. If you’re looking for a differentiator, that’s it. Otherwise, Coleman is a plug-and-play guy who could pick up 10-15 carries per game right off the bat.
