“Caddyshack” 35th Anniversary: Actress Cindy Morgan Takes Us Back to the Shack
It’s hard to believe it has been 35 years since “Caddyshack” first burst onto the silver screen and into our consciousness. Recently, I spoke with my friend, actress Cindy Morgan, who portrayed Lacey Underalls in the iconic comedy film and who had a front row seat watching all the antics and mayhem that ensued.
“It was kamikaze filming at its finest,” said Morgan.
“Caddyshack” was Morgan’s first role in a movie. Prior to co-starring in the film she appeared as “The Irish Spring Girl” in national TV commercials. After she won the role in an exhaustive audition process, she was off to south Florida to be thrown head-first in the deep end of the pool to play opposite some of the most talented comedians of the day which included Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, Ted Knight and Bill Murray.
