If you subscribe to the theory that the Texas Rangers’ trade for pitcher Cole Hamels builds the Rangers up for 2016, then you’ve no doubt been doing some looking ahead. Though, to be fair, Hamels’ presence in the Rangers’ rotation for the final two months of this season will likely keep the Rangers relevant in the American League Wild Card race, and perhaps, the AL West race, too.
If you’re a smart baseball fan, however, you’re a happy camper looking into that crystal ball.
