College Football America Class of 2015 profile: David Ducre, Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA) Titans

In our first two Dream Team freshman classes, we didn’t select any fullbacks. Then again, you just about have to be a 4-star to make the team, and there just aren’t that many 4-star fullbacks out there. There was one out there this year, however, so we ‘signed’ him to our College Football America Class of 2015.

We’re talking about former Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA) Titans fullback David Ducre who signed with LSU this spring. Ducre has been listed anywhere from 5-11 to 6-0 this spring while weighing in at 238 pounds, and by virtue of his selection to our Dream Team Class of 2015, he also becomes a member of The Program that we will keep tabs on over the next four to five years.

Ducre is already being touted as the Tigers’ likely starter at fullback this fall after finishing his prep career as the nation’s top prospect at the position. LSU utilizes the fullback role extensively in Les Miles’ offense, and Ducre is the only fullback on the roster who is playing his natural position. So, yeah, we think he’ll see the field early, and while he’ll likely toil in the shadow of All-America prospect (and fellow Program member) Leonard Fournette, it’s likely that a lot of Fournette’s yardage will come by virtue of a key block delivered by Ducre. This kid is a battering ram who loves contact, and we look forward to seeing how his career plays out in Baton Rouge.
