Our College Football America Class of 2015 Dream Team is proud to feature former Hough (Cornelius, NC) Huskies cornerback Mark Fields who signed with the Clemson Tigers.
By virtue of his selection to the CFA Class of 2015, we’ll also be following Fields’ career at Clemson as a member of The Program, our annual feature that follows our freshman classes in the context of an FBS football program. Our previous two cornerback classes haven’t panned out as we had hoped, yet, although redshirt freshman Marlon Humphrey should help out when he makes his debut this fall. Still, Fields could be an early impact player at Clemson, and if he is, he’ll quickly become an invaluable asset to us in The Program as well.
Fields’ signing in February was a coup for Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney as the prep star had originally committed to in-state rival South Carolina. Swinney and his staff were able to flip Fields late in the recruiting cycle, however, and his commitment to the Tigers proved to be solid on signing day.
