Oklahoma is OK, as they like to say, and the proof came in the fourth quarter and the two overtimes of the No. 19 Sooners’ 31-24 win over No. 23 Tennessee.

It was our RandHSports Spotlight game and it lived up to the billing, as the Sooners rallied from a 14-point deficit to force overtime, and then win the game in double overtime in front of a rollicking atmosphere at Neyland Stadium.

A win on the road against a ranked SEC team in September? Yeah, that’s going to have some staying power with the College Football Playoff committee, should the Sooners end up a contender.

Meanwhile, the rest of the conference fell to form in Week 2, as the other ranked teams — No. 3 TCU and No. 4 Baylor — won with relative ease, while Texas got off the mat.
