If it’s October then it’s time to break out the familiar refrain, “Yes, Baylor is 3-0 but the Bears haven’t played anyone yet.”

Well here comes someone for the No. 5/4 Bears (3-0) to play this Saturday, a Texas Tech outfit that scared the bejeezus out of TCU last weekend in Lubbock and comes to AT&T Stadium for this game with a West Texas-sized chip on its shoulder.

“It’s a bowl atmosphere with a split down the middle,” Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury said of the neutral site affair. “If you can’t get fired up for this, I said it on Saturday, you got issues. So they’ll be ready to go.”

It’s easy to see why it’s our Big 12 Spotlight game of the week (2:30 p.m. CST Saturday, ABC/ESPN2).
