LEBANON, Tenn. – The Friendship Christian (Lebanon, TN) Commanders took the first step toward a possible TSSAA Division II Class A state championship Friday night with a 35-0 win over the visiting Ezell-Harding Christian (Antioch, TN) Eagles.

The Commanders won a TSSAA Class 2A title as recently as 2012 before moving to Tennessee’s private school division. The win over Ezell-Harding moves the Commanders to 8-3 on the season and into a quarterfinal matchup with the Harding Academy (Memphis, TN) Lions.

Ezell-Harding, meanwhile, concludes the 2015 season with a 4-7 record.
