The Augusta Sports Council and Ray Guy Award are proud to announce Cameron Johnston of Ohio State University as the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week. Johnston had a total of 5 punts for 253 yards. He averaged 50.6 yards per punt with 5 punts marked inside the 20-yard line. Johnston’s net average was remarkably the same as his gross average (50.6 yards) due to the fact that all 5 of his punts were not returned. His long punt was 68 yards. 

Cameron Johnston is a senior at Ohio State and has been a semifinalist in the past for the Ray Guy Award. Not only is he a standout on the field, he is a standout with his community service. He has done volunteer work at the Mid-Ohio Food bank and has made many visits at the OSU Medical Center/James Cancer Research Center, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the VA Hospital.
