Kansas Wesleyan placed four players on the 2019 College Football America Yearbook NAIA Preseason Starting Lineup, CFAY’s version of an All-America team.

The Coyotes, who reached the NAIA semifinals last year, boast a wealth of returning talent, including four players who earned preseason selections — RB Demarco Prewitt, TE Charlie Simmons, OL Eli Smith and DL Shaq Bradford.

Four other programs landed at least two players each on the Starting Lineup:

• Bethel (TN): DL Jeremy Johnson and AP J’Kobi Reddick
• Lyon: DL Ethan Skarmas, PK Ignaxio Gomez and KR Emetrious Scott
• Northwestern (IA): QB Tyson Kooima and WR Shane Solberg
• Reinhardt: OL Tre Coney and DL JT Graydon

Nineteen programs, in all, had at least one selection to the team.

Starting Lineup selections that earned First-Team AFCA All-America selection last year include Prewitt, OL Dustin Rivera (Southwestern, KS), Graydon, LB Jason Ferris (Montana Western), LB Damarcus Wimbush (Bluefield), DB Nicholas Holmes (Saint Mary’s), P Drake Higgins (Missouri Valley) and Reddick.

Starting Lineup selections that earned Second-Team AFCA All-America selection last year include Coney and Bradford.

The 2019 College Football America Yearbook features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFAY staff.
