Laval is No. 1 in College Football America Yearbook 2019 Preseason U Sports Top 10

Laval Rouge Et OrLaval, the defending U Sports national champion, is No. 1 in the College Football America Yearbook 2019 U Sports preseason Top 10.

Laval, which claimed its 10th national title last fall, returns a trio of CFAY Preseason Starting Lineup selections in OL Ketel Asse, OL Samuel Lefebvre and LB Adam Auclair.

Calgary is No. 2, led by returning Hec Crighton Award winner and QB Adam Sinagra.

Western, which won the Vanier Cup in 2017 and lost to Laval in the Vanier Cup last year, is No. 3. Saskatchewan, which upended Calgary in the Canada West playoffs, is No. 4, followed by Ottawa (ON) at No. 5.

Montreal, Laval’s chief rival in the RSEQ, is No. 6. McMaster is No. 7, followed by UBC at No. 8, Carleton (ON) at No. 9 and Acadia at No. 10.

The 2019 College Football America Yearbook features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFAY staff.
