North Dakota State OL Zack Johnson and LB Jabril Cox have been named to the 2019 College Football America Yearbook FCS Preseason Starting Lineup, CFAY’s version of an All-America team.

The Bison claimed their seventh FCS title in eight years last season. Johnson and Cox are two big returning pieces that should allow the Bison to contend again, despite a head-coaching change for the 2019 season.

Chris Klieman left to take over at Kansas State. Matt Entz, Klieman’s defensive coordinator, is now NDSU’s head coach.

Two other programs — Jacksonville State and Towson — each have a pair of Starting Lineup selections. In all, 24 FCS programs had players selected to the Starting Lineup.

Seven 2018 American Football Coaches Association First-Team All-Americans are on the CFA Starting Lineup. They include Duquesne RB AJ Hines, Colgate DL Nick Wheeler, Montana LB Dante Olson, Jacksonville State DB Marlon Bridges, Dartmouth DB Isiah Swann, Florida A&M P Chris Faddoul and Towson’s Shane Simpson, selected as an all-purpose player.

Five 2018 AFCA Second-Team All-Americans are on the CFA Starting Lineup. They include San Diego WR Michael Bandy, Illinois State RB James Robinson, Southeast Missouri LB Zach Hall, Cox and Towson PK Aidan O’Neill.

The 2019 College Football America Yearbook features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFAY staff.
