North Texas quarterback Mason Fine and three Memphis Tigers lead the 2019 College Football America Yearbook Group of 5 Preseason Starting Lineup, CFAY’s version of a Group of 5 conference All-America team.

The Mid-Major Starting Lineup is made up of players from the Group of 5 conferences.

Fine is considered one of the top quarterbacks in the country and returns for his senior season to try and lead the Mean Green to the Conference USA title.

The Tigers, which reached the American Athletic Conference’s championship game last season before losing to UCF, placed TE Joey Magnifico, OL Dustin Woodard and LB Bryce Huff on the team. They should help keep Memphis competitive for an AAC title in 2019.

There are a total of 19 Group of 5 programs represented on this year’s Starting Lineup. Five other schools have multiple honorees:

• Boise State: OL Ezra Cleveland, DL Curtis Weaver
• Cincinnati: RB Michael Warren II, P James Smith
• Middle Tennessee: WR Ty Lee, DB Reed Blankenship
• UCF: C Jordan Johnson, DB Richie Grant
• Utah State: LB David Woodward, KR Savon Scarver

Nine players are also part of the 2019 College Football America Yearbook “Dream Team,” its version of a preseason All-America team. Those players include: Grant, Scarver, Temple PR Isaiah Wright (first team); Blankenship (second team); and Lee, Magnifico, Johnson, Huff and Woodward (reserves).

The 2019 College Football America Yearbook features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFAY staff.
