The 2019 College Football America Yearbook is out now at Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com and provides a preview for more than 900 college football teams and more than 90 college football conferences.
For the next several days we are providing excerpts from our FBS conference previews.
Today you’ll find an excerpt from our Big 12 Conference preview below, written by Chuck Cox:
(Jalen) Hurts, a former SEC Offensive Player of the Year, keeps OU in the driver’s seat in the Big 12 and makes it a favorite to grab one of those four coveted CFP spots again this season.
Although the Sooners only return four starters on offense, junior RB Trey Sermon (947 yards, 13 TDs), junior WR/PR CeeDee Lamb (65 catches, 1,158 yards and 11 TDs) and junior TE Grant Calcaterra (26 catches, 396 yards, 6 TDs) are three of them. Sophomore C Creed Humphrey also returns. The Sooners averaged a Big 12-best 48.4 points per game last season.
On defense, OU is loaded. The Sooners welcome back nine starters, including Second-Team All-Big 12 junior LB Kenneth Murray, who led the team in tackles last season with 155.
Need more? Cox delves into the challenge Texas could pose to OU’s recent league supremacy and which teams could emerge from the pack to challenge last year’s Big 12 title game participants.
The Big 12 Conference preview includes all 2018 results, all 2019 schedules, a 2019 conference Starting Lineup, a Gameday Experience recap of Baylor’s McLane Stadium and photos of each stadium from our travels around the conference.
The 2019 College Football America Yearbook features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFAY staff.
