The 2019 College Football America Yearbook is out now at Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com and provides a preview for more than 900 college football teams and more than 90 college football conferences.
For the next several days we are providing excerpts from our FBS conference previews.
Today you’ll find an excerpt from our Sun Belt Conference preview below, written by Kendall Webb:
In the West, Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns bounced back from a 5-7 finish in 2017 to win the division, and they should mount a spirited defense while trying to hold off Arkansas State and a much-improved ULM squad.
Louisiana still has plenty of experience on hand with eight starters back on offense, but it will be breaking in a new quarterback in junior Levi Lewis. Lewis got enough work last year to gain some confidence, and he’ll play behind an offensive line that has all five starters returning. The defense has plenty of regulars on hand with seven returning starters.
Arkansas State is in a similar position, with six starters back on offense while having to debut a new quarterback. Logan Bonner also got some key playing time, but remains a bit of a question mark heading into the season. And just like Louisiana, the Red Wolves have seven returning starters on defense to lead the way.
Need more? Webb says that while the West Division has questions marks, so does the East Division, largely surrounding the coaching changes at Appalachian State and Troy, which could definitely influence that race.
The Sun Belt preview includes all 2018 results, all 2019 schedules, a 2019 conference Starting Lineup, a Gameday Experience recap of Appalachian State’s Kidd Brewer Stadium and photos of each stadium from our travels around the conference.
The 2019 College Football America Yearbook features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFAY staff.
