The 2019 College Football America Yearbook is out now at Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com and provides a preview for more than 900 college football teams and more than 90 college football conferences.
For the next several days we are providing excerpts from our FCS conference previews.
Today you’ll find an excerpt from our Colonial Athletic Association preview below, written by Chuck Cox:
That incredible year for the (Maine) Black Bears (in 2018) came on the heels of a 4-6 season in 2017. To the victor go the spoils and, quite often, the coaching change. Sure enough, Maine head coach Joe Harasymiak parlayed that magical season into a defensive backs/safeties position on P.J. Fleck’s coaching staff at Minnesota.
The Black Bears will still have a familiar face calling the shots in 2019. Offensive coordinator Nick Charlton was elevated to head coach after five seasons in Orono. That’s good news for an offense that returns junior QB Chris Ferguson (2,372 yards, 22 TDs, 11 INTs) and sophomore RB Ramon Jefferson (1,037 yards, 8 TDs) after averaging 26.5 points per contest a year ago.
Need more? Cox breaks down the Black Bears and whether the CAA can send as many teams to the FCS postseason as it did in 2018.
The CAA preview includes all 2018 results, all 2019 schedules, a Gameday Experience recap of Villanova and capsules on each league team.
The 2019 College Football America Yearbook features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFAY staff.
The print edition is available online via Amazon.com and other major retailers such as Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million.
