2019 College Football America Yearbook excerpt: MVFC Preview

The North Dakota State Bison title train kept right on trucking last season, as the program won its seventh FCS title. Now, with both head coach Chris Klieman and QB Easton Stick out the door, the Bison face another challenge to remain at the top, a challenge they’ve risen to before. The 2019 College Football America Yearbook is out now at Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com and provides a preview for more than 900 college football teams and more than 90 college football conferences.

For the next several days we are providing excerpts from our FCS conference previews.

Today you’ll find an excerpt from our Missouri Valley Football Conference preview below, written by Matthew Postins:

(Matt) Entz, making his debut as a head coach after five seasons as defensive coordinator at NDSU, will look to make it eight successful road trips to Frisco, Texas, in nine years with a team that was largely decimated by graduation. No pressure.

The Bison will, however, have their top defensive player returning in Jabril Cox. The junior linebacker registered 91 tackles, 4 sacks and 4 INTs and was named the Missouri Valley Defensive Player of the Year last season. Cox is one of just eight returning starters for the Bison.

Need more? Postins looks at which teams could try and challenge the Bison in 2019.

The MVFC preview includes all 2018 results, all 2019 schedules, a Gameday Experience recap of Southern Illinois and capsules on each league team.

The 2019 College Football America Yearbook features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFAY staff.

The print edition is available online via Amazon.com and other major retailers such as Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million.
